Does cardio exercise such as jogging also burn protein and muscle mass?

If so, what is the percentage it burns protein to fat and carb?

I might be jogging too much and i might be over doing it and lose my goal in building my muscles.

The percentage varies on your diet, and what your body thinks it needs.

But yes, cardio can cause your body to burn muscle mass if you don't also maintain a healthy diet.

Your body burns carbs first before it burns proteins for energy. I doubt it that your body is burning muscle because it would only do that in a desperate situation. (you arent starving yourself are you??) If you want to build muscle, running isnt the thing to do. You should still do some cardio to keep your fat levels low but if you want to build muscle mass (like make your biceps bigger) you should lift weights or do circuit training or stuff like that.

No, generally you build muscles with cardio while burning fat and cals, and with jogging your results will be in the calfs and quads, but not so much upper body. The bad thing about this is the strain it puts on your heart, joints and cartilage of the knees and back. It's better not to jog/run, but walk briskly and do weight resistance.

I jog often and my experiece has been that a body with lean fat will burn muscle in the absence of fat. The process is called atrophy. Learn more about your intake. Balance it with your cardio workout. Good luck and keep going!
