At a show biz party someone cut a line of coke and handed me a ten pound note. I politely declined and put the ten pound note in my purse. My friend Annie says I was wrong but I don't use drugs.

£10 to these people will like 10p. I would have pocketed it as well. It's not as if you took it off a poor person, is it? Good for you, it's parties like this that can ruin peoples lives. You have your head screwed on! You could give the £10 to charity. Don't take any notice of Annie. Maybe if we confiscated the druggies notes they wouldn't have anything to snort with, so it would not be worth their while buying any in the first place!

Good on ya!
People who offer random women drugs, especailly coke or X aren't trying to make you feel welcome or just being polite. Their're looking for control and more often than not sexual control. Turning it on them and taking the money they handed you sent a message that they need to watch their behavior around strangers. If it were me being a slimeball to you I'd have an enormous amount of respect. If it were a 50$ or a 100$ you might be in trouble but 10$ is good for making a point. You may not have made friends with those folks but do you want them for friends?

I think it's OK to take the money. If you took the coke it would probably cost more than a tenner. t's unfair that people should offer drugs and give you no alternative so I truly believe that the money was a nice token.

Good for you! I am a former recreational user turned militantly anti-drug after seeing the devastation they leave in their path in my own family. It is time for people to start standing up against drug abuse. It is the laissez-faire attitude people have about them which make them such a blight on the face of humanity. I applaud you for your courage.

they offered it to you, it doesn't mean you have to do the line. However you should have given the money back. If you did accept the line, you would have rolled up the note and snort away. I say "to each their own"

It's up to you whether or not you want to shove that crap up your nose, but you should have given the tenner back, I mean, what are the rest of them going to snort with? No need to spoil their party.
If it was a showbiz party, I'm sure many of them are accustomed to waking up choking on they're own vomit, doesn't mean you have to.

Be careful, when you have to deal with drugs or the dealer. Once you accept or give green signal to them, they won't let you go.
Keep your distance with them, make friends with good people. Many of the party goers are not good people.

As soon as the coke came out I would have walked away.
