When working in microsoft access, When entering number, it always rounds decimals.?

Question

I have a field that is set to enter numbers. I have tried changing the number of decimal places, the field size and the format, and it always rounds to the nearest whole number. Any ideas for allowing me to enter numbers with decimal places?

Set the Data Type to number
Set the Field Size to Decimal
Set the Scale to whatever number represents the number of digits you want to be able to enter to the right of the decimal.

You can also use Double, but I prefer Decimal

Set the field type to Number->Double. When you set the field type, there will be options at the bottom. The default is Long Integer, which will only give you whole numbers.
