My mother when she made Strawberry shortcake use to put strawberry flavored jello on the sliced strawberries and then let them sit for about an hour. It makes them YUMMY! They also have a very good consistency...

You can toss them in regular sugar, you can stir them in honey, OR my personal favorite is to sprinkle powdered sugar on them. It absorbs very well and it has a sweet taste and great texture. Just remember to let them soak for a while after you sweeten them so they absorb the sugar!

Slice and add castor sugar (very finely granulated sugar).
Never serve them cold. Chilling diminishes the flavor for most all fruits.

That's simple, just sprinkle sugar over them (start with a tablespoon of sugar, you can add more as you go along) and stir. Taste, add a bit more if you like, then refrigerate and let it soak in. :)
