Dear Gee-GeeofMo:
Jesus meant His Church to be a place of Worship and Fellowship. He never intended His Church to be interpreting His words and what He had spoken. He expected the Church to be founded on His Words. Clearly ,from His own mouth - thru the disciples!
Due to interpretation, His Church has fragmented into tiny pieces, dividing His Flock. He never intended for this !
Your most important responsibilities in this life are: Take care of your spiritual and mental health ; develop a working one-on-one relationship with Jesus in which you can speak to Him, ask Him questions, and HEAR His answers in your Mind. That eliminates the need for interpreting. Last - find a Church in which the Worship program suits you and the fellowship is warm, and brings you to those who believe as you do in the deepest part of your soul. Do not be influenced by their interpretations. But, rather, find that fellowship that is in alignment with what you Know - thru your relationship with Jesus and The Holy Spirit.
Jesus did not stop teaching after the Ascension. He teaches today at your invitation. Mind to Mind. Thought to Thought. One-ness. The One-Mind of God. Invite Him to be your Teacher.

I sure will. Just make sure the church you decide on:
1) Believes the Bible is the true Word of God
2) Believes in Baptism
3) Believes in Repentance
4) Congregation loves one another
5) Has music that glorifies God
6) Reaches out to others less fortunate
7) It's people are friendly
8) Makes you feel like a sister in the Lord

find a church that tells the truth. that is an apostolic pentecostal church..repent and be baptized in Jesus name, be filled with the Holy Ghost. ask God to help you if you want to know the truth he will show you. read Acts thats where the church begins. i will pray for you..there are so many false doctrines out there nothing but lying devils from Hell. people will tell you it doesnt matter how you live but it does..you have to separate yourself from the world. u have to live a holy and dedicated life. find a place that has Gods word. Jesus is God.
Jesus is the Father, Jesus is the Son, and Jesus is the Holy Ghost. God manifested himself in the flesh or you can say revealed himself..he gave himself and fleshly body so he could die and shed blood for our sins..God was a spirit a spirit cannot die. thats when Jesus was born and then crucified later..without the blood of Jesus we would all go to Hell.

"Will you please pray that i will find a church that i feel comfortable with."
I'm not sure what you mean by that. If you mean a church that is Bible teaching, Christ honoring, and Spirit led then I pray that God will lead you to such a place.
If you mean that you are looking for a church that preaches the message that makes you feel comfortable just the way that you are then my prayer would be that God would open up your heart to realize that even though He loves you just the way that you are, He loves you and me and everyone else too much to leave us the way that we are!

If you have tried so many churches and not found one you are comfortable with, you might want to consider finding a trusted spiritual advisor of your faith and getting some spiritual counseling first.
Many times one-on-one counseling can get us in a better frame of mind to know exactly what we need and are looking for in a spiritual community.
God bless.

Sure. And good luck in your search. If this next church doesn't work out, don't stop looking. Sometimes it's hard to find just the right place, but it's definitely worth the effort.

I will do so. I sincerely hope that you find one that is accepting and caring. My late partner's family were cruel and spiteful when we moved in together and their "church" backed them. I feel that you may have been rejected in some way. Human nature can make the most seemingly perfect society unbearable.
Kind regards, Rose P.

Ask them about their views on salvation, baptism, the deity of Jesus, and atonement. Compare what they say to what is in the Bible.
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. -1 John 4:1

Have you considered the fact that the church you finally do attend might still conflict a little bit with your personal beliefs? I've got a friendly rivalry going with my pastor, and it helps me to grow in my faith while understanding others. Good luck with the one you're going to attend.

Perserverance. Don't forget, church isn't about YOU. It's about GOD. Go to hear the Word and serve Him, not to find comfort in the people.
Trust me, I understand and have wrestled with this before.
