I imagine it depends on what kind of person you are, and how much influence the alleged "wolf" has in your life...
For those who have very little qualm about dealing with CONFRONTATION: It can be quite messy,... but at least the matter is CLOSED, --- and that makes the mess easier to deal with.
For those who wish to avoid confrontation, KARMA is the way to go; no fuss, no muss, --- the wolf will be skinned ...
...EVENTUALLY...:-))
The nice thing about the delay of karmic retribution is that it gives the wolf a chance to shed it's woolen disguise, - for even a wolf can redeem themselves by deciding to just be what they are.
Me,... I'm not afraid of confrontation. However, my life's experiences have taught me to be a little more careful when deciding whether or not to skin a wolf...
I'm ashamed to say that, at times, my kills turned out to be human beings in wolves's clothing.

There was a big time sociopath in my life. Definatly a nasty wolf in sheeps clothing. I am leaving them to God & Karma to take care of.
I could bring them down big time, but I would pay the price. Also, with these sort of people they just change reality to fit their distorted perception of themself. So, why bother confrontation.
That doesn't mean you need to be a door mat. There are times when you have to say something, and when that happens you have to be in a total zen state and pick your words very well. Keep it simple and non confrontational, then walk away with confidence. It is so tempting to get into it with these sort of people.....the problem is that they are wolf's and it isn't safe to play with dangerous animals.
Find your own peace and let karma take care of the wolf.

If you believe in karma maybe you're the wolf in sheeps clothing. That's what God called those who taught things contrary to His Word. So I'm confronting you. Get back to the Word of God.

Karma will reach them, but how much of a problem is this wolf? Is it someone you can leave alone, or is it someone you must deal with? If you can leave them alone, then do so. If not, then your options are variable depending on the circumstances.
There's just not enough information to make a clear direction for your consideration without additional details.

Put on a big smile and grit your teeth and let karma do the work for you. Since you already know how they REALLY are you can give yourself an advantage by letting them think they have you fooled. Then if you decide karma isn't kicking in fast enough, you can wait for them to slip up and confront them.

Be aware of them and protect yourself and those you care about. Let them face their own karma, unless it's someone you want to change. If it is, confront them about it.

It seems trying to help someone who is just nasty is usually just best to leave alone and never look back.
Most of the time people who are just out for themselves are not willing to listen to you anyway and in the end you waist you time and breath. Most are trouble causing. If you are a friend of there's I guess that would depend on the level of friendship, how much do you care to get caught up in their issues?

be smarter than they are. if your around this person alot you can convey a subliminal message without confrontation. its actually kinda fun. it might take a while, but once they catch on to what your doing, the humiliation of being beaten at theyre own game, will at least make them think. if theyre so shallow to be phased a brick to the head works.

Leave them to face their own karma. Sooner or later their time will come where what they did will come back to them. Your job is to be good so only good things come back to you.

I would leave them alone to face their own Karma whatever that may be. No need in having that lying, conniving energy around me. Nope, no ma'am.
