It's called commercial food. The calcium components of raw bone is what makes white poop for a dog. If you dog doesn't eat raw bones, he won't poop white. Quite simple. Almos all wild dogs and any dog on a Bones And Raw Food diet will poop white.
The coloration of the feces is not due directly to commercial food. It is bile that causes feces to get that black/brown color. The ammount of bone in a raw diet essentially covers up that color and makes it white. If you give a dog a 100% digestable diet without any bones it will still be dark in color.

it depends on what the dogs are fed. Dogs on a raw meat diet produce white turds due to the dogs digestive sytem uses all the intake that the dog gets. But dogs fed on "regular" dog food do not process all the food therefore the turds are brown or black.

When the turds age they will turn white or if the dog eats a diet high in corn they will be whiter and if they eat a lot of bones they will be whiter. Any more questions?
