Teachers can get attached to their jobs as well as their students, and often feel responsible if a student gives up or fails in their class.

The Job of a teacher is one of service. Their charge is to educate their students. When their students decide to drop out of school then they (The Teachers) feel like they have lost a future leader. I think it can be aquated with a docto losing a paitent. Teachers and Doctors are both in the same business, that is the business of saving lives.

There are many reasons......but, it is all about the student not the teacher. The teacher knows it may affect the student for the rest of his/her life. Giving up is never a good thing. If a student gives up on school......what else will he/she give up on in life? The student's future is the issue.

Probably because they know how hard it is out in the real world if you don't have a good education. They see that the student is headed for a hard life of crappy jobs that don't pay enough to live on. They also know that when you're young that is the best time to go to school - because the older you get the harder it is because of family and work obligations and there is no money or time for them to go to school...

The good teachers will. They feel as if they haven't gotten through to you how important schooling is. They go into that profession because they care about kids and their education. If they can stop one kid from dropping out, they have done what they set out to do for the most part. Keeping them interested and well educated is a huge achievement.

Because they feel as if they didn't work hard enought or teach so that it can be fun in a way and so it is their fault that the student dropped out.

because some teachers really care if their students pass or fail, and work really hard to help them succeed, so to see a kid throw al that away and drop out can be a real downer.

because the teacher feels like he or she didn't teach the student well enough.when really it's just that student was lazy and slacking off and wasn't doing his or her homework and studying.often times,at least.
