Do you mean "legitimate"? The answer is no. It's just a mutt that muttsforbucks breeders crank out for cash.

There is no such thing as a legitimate hybrid dog. A Bosoodle is not a legitimate breed because it is not recognized by the AKC.

But a hybrid is a mix of two dogs, and hybrids are often given cutsy names like that. So a cross between a boston terrier and a poodle would probably result in a bosoodle.

The actual term for a dog that is created by mating two different 2 purebred dogs is a
"cross breed". Either way, it's a mixed breed, mongrel or mutt. I actually prefer mutts over pure bred dogs. I don't understand why people are so pro-purebred. I guess it's a status thing. Now, the new trend is to BUY "designer dogs". The "designer dogs" are mostly crossbreeds that people decided would be cool. You know: labradoodle (lab/poodle), puggle (pug/beagle), schnoodle (schnauzer/poodle), chug (chihuahua/pug), etc. Then they charge 100s or thousands of dollars for the pups they breed. It's sick. I happen to be owned by a "cheagle" (half beagle, half chihuahua). She is not recognized by the Crossbreed/Designer Dog Club of America however. I adopted her from the Humane Society some years ago. I guess that makes her uncool. Sigh. (Please note sarcasm).

The "designer hybrid" dogs are a scam. No real thought is given into making a new breed, they just make more mutts. You can find many of these dogs that occured naturally (i.e. not planned breredings) being euthinzed everyday in shelters across the world. Dont waste your money, Many of these dogs come from irresponsible backyard breeders and puppy mills, who dont know what in the heck theyre doing. My recomendation: adopt!!!

Anything now that is mixed with a poodle is considered a designer dog, they go for big bucks too. A goldendoodle(golden retriever and poodle) goes for $1000-$2000!!! Unbelievable!!! They are supposed to be shed free and hypoallergenic but they are not, every dog sheds!!!!!

There is no such thing as a legitimate hybrid dog. They won't make more of the same if you breed them together. They are one of the breeds that they mix with poodles to try to make them not shed and to be hypo-allergenic. But it takes several generations of breeding to make them where they are actually low to no shedding and hypo-allergenic.

It's a mutt. Don't pay anything more than $100 from a shelter for one.

People don't have a problem with mutts. They have a problem with people giving them a cutesy name, calling them rare or designer (dog are not a fashion statment) and selling them for thousands. THAT is why people have a problem with mixed breeds.
