it really depends on how the relationship was, who broke up with who, and how close your friend/the girl is to you. but either way, i think you should be friends with the girl first if you aren't already, and definately talk to your friend about it. i personally had the same thing happen to me, where my ex asked out my friend right after we broke up, and it hurts. so if i were you, i'd wait a while. good luck !

How much do you value your friend? If you dont care to be friends with him anymore I dont think you should care about any time table in regards to him. However, there's this girl you like that just broke up with a guy...she may have some issues still to work through. Try just being friends to start.

u wait until your friend seems ok with the break-up, then if u r a real friend you talk to them before u even show any interest in her

You never ask a friends ex to go out with you, unless you have such little respect for your friend that you would do this to him.
When I was single I had a BIG rule that I abided by, I don't date my friends ex's and I don't date my ex's friends.

Well... if you don't want that persons friendship anymore... it wouldn't matter how long you wait because either way your being a horrible friend... and there still gonna hate you.

is this a friend if he'll date your X. he's gotta give time to heal and time for reconciliation on both parts before can be concidere,and if you're friends you gotta get clearance! Or the friendship is over.

NEVER... never go out with a friends ex... that is the slackest thing that could ever b done... sum1 always gets hurt... and that is just way uncool... its totally disrespectful of ur friends feelings and everything... never do it
