As you know by now 63% of the American people do not support the war so I would say we will cut and run in about three years. It took us 10 years to cut and run from Vietnam but I hope we wise up fast this time around. We, the American people, know you have the right to defend Iraq and let me tell you this. You are doing a very good job on your part. As you know about this type of war all you have to do is wear the USA down and we will run like a scared dog after about 3 more years. Not a bad letter at all. Let me help with some facts though.
An insurgency is a force that takes arms up against an official government. By referring to them as "insurgents" you are recognizing that Iraq is itself an official government (which we established for them) and acknoledging the fact that America has done it's job. May want to re-word that one.
On another note... We went over there to eliminate a genocidic dictator and deliver political establishment to the people. We don't want their country by any means. We simply want the people to be free and live lives as free as we do without fear of persecution based on their religion. You do realize that Hussein wanted every Kurd eliminated, right? So we decided since nobody else is doing it, we will protect those poor people.
And you're right on one thing... We dont have the heart for a long-drawn out war. I dont want to die for my country, but if that's what it takes then I will die for my country.
I'm sorry you feel this way about the war, but war is not pretty. Instead of having a negative outlook on it, have a positive one and go thank a Soldier for donating his time and possibly his life for a political agenda. Don't wish death upon us.

I will be taking your crap to the base today and turn it over to the right people cause if you are on here saying you are talking to insurgents then I think MY government should be talking to you. And by the way dear sir are you sure you are not part of the insurgents or part of the low life that did that to the WTC in New York ?
OH by the way when you go to Iraq to take your pictures please take a picture of my oldest son that is in the Army over there and then go to Camp Lejeune to the wounded barracks and take a picture of my other BRAVE son and send me copies.
