*hair straightener*

My hair is pretty wavy, so to get it straight it a difficult process. I have tried almost everything and this is what I find works best: Use Sunsilk Straighten Up Shampoo/Conditioner, and follow with the Straighten Cream. Then, blow dry hair straight, and just touch up needed areas with a flat iron. If you're hair only has a slight wave you may just need a combo of perhaps the cream and blow drying, or something. . . . There are a lot of other products out there, but I've found most don't work.

I have wavy hair so I use a lot of different products: Ion straighten spray (don't use to much it will make your hair oily), UNITE Lazer straight creme (same thing don't use too much) and then I straight iron my hair. Be careful to not use too high of a setting on your straightening iron!! It will fry your hair if you have thin hair do not use above 5 or 6. Do not straighten your hair wet either because your hair stretches when wet and will break.

You should use a really good straightening iron and make sure that the heat is evenly distributed. My hair is wavy too but I bought a cheap one. It would straighten parts and leave others wavy still so buy a good one. By the way, mine was a Conair for about $20.00 Also, make sure you protect your hair with certain hair products or serum (with shine preferably). Hair straighteners tend to dry/burn hair up really bad (gave me a lot of split ends) so try not to use it everyday as well.

I've found the best thing to do is use a shampoo and conditioner that super moisturize your hair, and right after the shower use a leave in conditioner. If at all possible let your hair air dry as much as you can and blow dry what's still wet. They make a great blow dryer with a comb attachment that works great. Make sure your hair is TOTALLY dry or you risk hair damage. Then work in small sections with the flat iron to get all the waves/curls out.

I have "S" shaped hair: not curly, not straight. I like to use a straightening shampoo. You can find good ones even at the drug store.

I use a shine serum which also with help with getting it straight, if you use a flat iron or a hair dryer with a round brush.
