If you were a pirate, would you wear your parrot on this shoulder (guy points to girls closest shoulder) or this shoulder, (guy puts arm around girl) It was so corny and dumb, but it made me laugh!

Pick up lines don't work. Conversations and chatting with a girl does! All we do is laugh about pick up lines with our friends about the corniest one we have heard.
