There is no evidence for any relationship beyond friendship. The only things that lead credence to the idea are some of the Gnostic gospels which were written roughly a hundred years after the events they claim to depict, by completely unknown sources, and trying to use Christian characters to further their new religion. These books were not left out by the Catholic church, these books were never even remotely considered to be included. It's like someone believing the Quran should've been in the Bible because it talks about God. There's no evidence that she was a whore(outside of a little twisting one can do to the scriptures), and there's no evidence that they were even more than what the Gospels showed them as.

Jesus was God, He did not sleep with anyone while He was on Earth. He forgave Mary for her sins and she was a loyal follower who happens to be a female. What is the big deal with that. And yes, Jesus did hang around whores, and all types of sinners. He came to Earth for them. And people just like you, too.

Supposedly they made her out to be a whore in the compiled version of the Bible to discredit the claims that Jesus was married. If he was married then he had sex, and if he had sex he was not perfect and therefore could not have cleansed all of our sins when he was crucified.

Seriously though, GO JESUS!!!! Everyone deserves to get laid at least once in life.

What ever! Seriously who cares?! If you beleive that Jesus is your saviour then why would it matter (really) if he had human decendants. His decendents would only be the human part of him (cuz if you remember his mother was 100% human) Why would it matter? And why shoud Jesus have not had a human woman whom he loved and procreated with? And if he did why would it be suprising to anyone that those ancestors are the today's Jews (American and otherwise!) I mean really, why is that so hard to believe? It isn't for me!

Was not a whore. Writers of the bible knew that this would reflect horribly on Jesus as a prophet, so they discreetly wrote about her as a whore, but never clearly stated that he hooked up with her, although some would beg to differ that she is written in there metaphorically.

I think it is fiction, with no substance for factual backing.

Jesus loved Mary very much. She is a reflection of how Jesus will accept anyone if they repent and accept Him as Savior.

I think that shows us there is no one living who is beyond His mercy. If you are trying to convert a pure act of mercy into a sinful act, forget it. It didn't happen. God said , This is my beloved Sin, in whom I am well pleased. God hates sin. Christ was sinless. This is the only way He was able to pay the price for the sin of all who will accept Him. Any wh.re, murderer, robber, liar, whatever, can accept what He did, and appear before God as sinless.

possible, from my atheist point of view Jesus was thrown into a situation where he was a Messiah. So he had to preach what would make men happy. But even then he'd have to be happy.
