I had the mechanic change the "coil wire and now the car will not even start, no electical current to the ignition at all yet the battery is fully charged.

first off check ur ign fuse probly blowen should be a 5 amp fuse

I worked on one of these before as i remember it had a coil pack and when the car didn't start it was a fuse next to the computer on the passenger side under the dash. As for the bucking going up hill it could be a motor mount or trans mount. does the car have a tach if it does look and see if it fluctuates when the car bucks.

The original problem sounded like your fuel filter. The problem will continue getting worse if you let it go. Do you notice if you give it more gas the problem goes away? That would be because your forcing more fuel through a restricted filter.

probly the fuel filter or the fuel pump or both. sometimes if the filter gets plugged the pump will go out.this is a common problem with gm cars. remove the fuel filter and see if you can blow through it (should be fairly easy with an ok filter.

hmmm, that car don't have a coil wire. do u mean plug wire?
