Sure, did you have anything special in mind? Card magic, telekenetics, levitation, etc? Simple or complex?

Card magic is the oldest form and the internet is full of tricks. To tell you the truth the good magic, especially for card magic, comes from tons and tons of practicing slight of hand - not just a secret.

But here are a couple of things to get you started. First a bit of card magic - how to pull cards from your mouth:

The mechanics of this trick are fairly simple, although the timing and misdirection are what is going to be the part you will need to focus on when you practice this.

Palm about 20-30 cards in your right hand. Leave this hand at your side. Do this when the attention is on something else, at the end of a previous trick, or after you have produced cards from thin air.

Point to your mouth with your left hand and open your eyes really big.

As you start to open your mouth, bring your right hand up to your face and simply push the cards about halfway into your mouth. Immediately let the cards spill out and use your left hand to grab them as they come pouring out.

Personally I prefer "mental" magic or object magic. Object magic consists of tons of cheap (or expensive) gimmicks you can buy from magic shops. They are easy to use and produce a better effect than you would be able to get otherwise. A classic example would be the pen-thru-the-nickel effect.

But I digress. Here's something else you can do with no objects or cards at all. I'll show you....

First think of a number. Get it clear in your mind. Think so hard about it you can visualize the number without even closing your eyes.

Got it? How are your math skills by the way? Don't worry, you just have to add 14 to it. OK? So your original number plus 14 - think hard about that sum.

Now add 2 to it. Got it?

And now add 10. Your still keeping up with me right? Don't get confused!

Now subtract 7.

And - we're almost done! - add 30 to that.

OK, ok. Now just take this final sum and subtract your original number from it......
