You have to make sure he's a good guy first.
Sex on the first date is no big deal, but you have to know that a lot of times budding relationships don't go much farther than first date.
If this relationship isn't going to work out, whether you had sex with him or not won't make a difference.
So if you want to have sex with him, sure, women have needs too, it's human nature, just take it as what it is... fun. You still need to proceed with the discovery of each other's personalities and compatibilities normally. Sex on the first date isn't a short cut, it doesn't guarantee anything, it's just a more enjoyable route.
Should you choose to do it, be safe. Use protection, bring a condom, don't expect him to be prepared.

Myself personally...if a girl gives it up too easily, it kinda takes all the fun out of it...where is the challenge. When that happens I don't tend to stick around long...for this reasoning, if it was that easy for me; how hard will it be for the next guy that catches her attention? Play with him for a week or two it will be worth it, nothing wrong with waiting for whats worth waiting for...and I don't mean play with him like that either ;)

If you just want a quick lay, by all means. If you want something lasting, try and hold out for the 3rd or 4th date. If he gets it on the first date, what reason does he have to come back?
