6-8 months, however, look at his/her cainine teeth to make sure that the adult teth are coming in. The reason for this is because sometimes in small breeds the teeth come in with the baby teeth still there. If thats the case you can have those teeth removed when the dog is under anasthesia. Its also a better idea, but, not a "rule" to wait until those adult cainines are in.

For most breeds, the vet that we use says six months is about right. The uterus is developed enough to be easier to remove. Some vets say that it's best if the dog goes through one heat first, but I've had several female dogs, and it never seemed to make much difference.

I've had several different breeds of dogs, ranging from Scottie size to German shepherd, and the dog's size didn't have any bearing on the matter. Talk to your vet, but six months is around the age that most dogs can be safely spayed.

I think it is best to do between the age of 5-6 months, just before puberty sets in. A lot of vets do it now at 2 months, but I think that is too young.

I think they can be spayed at the age of three months. If you contact your local animal shelter they can tell you about low cost spaying.

Four to six months is the usual age. It is best to get it done before the dog goes in heat.

Dogs tend to come into season about 6 months of age. Depends on if you want to tackle that issue or not! I would think that any age would be good as long as your vet says it's safe!

It's always best to spay before the first heat cycle. This will significantly decrease the risk of cancer to your female.

Generally speaking, around 6 months of age. This is because that's about when they go into their first heat. Do call your vet though, and ask his/her advice.
