If you don't get A's and B's, it will become nearly impossible to achieve a basic level of success after high school. You'll need to drastically improve your grades.

Freshman year of high school I burnt myself out. I took all honors and AP classes. Tried soooo hard to get perfect grades. At some point in high school I learned, Im not a straight A student. And that was ok. As long as i knew I tried my hardest that was ok. High school can be very overwhelming. Try your best. But understand its not the end of the world to get a c. But if your getting C's and know you could be getting A's, if you applied yourself and spent a little more time studying. Then just study. In the long run it will make your life easier. But rememeber High School more than almost anything else is what you make of it.
The best advice I have for you is to be involved. Whether its a sport, or a club. Just be involved. It helps give you accountability, and to meet new people. Every school is different when it comes to homecoming. But try to get involved there. In a way freshman homecoming activities can really help the next four years. Its a great way to meet other freshman, and even upper-classmen.
And remember if your really struggling with your grades, dont be affraid to ask for help. Either from your friends, your teachers, a tutor. Everyone has theres strengths, and their weaknesses. Just do your best, and your life will reflect that.

This is exaggerated. While you must try your best to get good grades, that's not all that matters. Join clubs! Student council, marching band, a sport...something like that. Colleges are looking more at students who are well-rounded, not just the bookworms.
Also, make friends with your teachers, (yes, even if they're mean!) That way, you'll feel much better about asking for help when you don't understand something.
Overall, just try your best and have fun! These are the best years of your life and even if you don't get perfect grades, you'll do just fine in life! ;)

High School is as hard as you make it. Teachers seem more laxed and a lot of times they just want to see you try. So try your best and don't worry about it. There are usually a lot of extra credit work that you can do. B's and C's are pretty good. If you really want A's and B's, just work your butt off and put in the extra effort. When other kids are partying, just stay in a study. There is nothing wrong with that. Good Luck!

Relax and be yourself. High school is less cliquish than middle school. And no, you don't have to make all As and Bs. I'm living proof. Yes; it will be harder; but, then again it should be. It's a higher grade. Relax and you should do fine.

Of course you don't have to get A's and B's. But why not go for it? Make it your goal to be as successful as you can be. Get tutoring or whatever help your parents teachers and guidance couselor can make available to you. You can do a lot more than you think you can. Believe it. Make it happen.
