How about putting a discussion topic for each week in your shop. It starts conversations and gives different views from different people. Don't ask questions that pertain to gossip. Ask questions like: What is the best way...... Or How to have a romantic evening..... What do women expect of a man?..... and so on. Then list short simple answers and leave them and let other customers see their answers (without leaving their name).
Questions can pertain to sports, religion, jobs, romance, money, and so on. You will need a chalk board for this or dry erase board.
You wouldn't believe how customers couldn't wait to see next weeks' question, The Question of the Week: ???. Have Fun! Your Quotes are also a good idea, How about Hair Razin'?
