On a school night i would say no later than 8:30 or 9:00 I am 22 and I know what I was doing at 16 on the weekends. I think 10 or 10:30 if she is out running the streets. If she is at a girlfriends house maybe 11:00 if you trust her? Just talk with her I know it can be hard and try and tell her what you expect and make the rules clear and consistent and make sure she knows what the "punishment" will be if she chooses not to follow the rules you have set. Hope this helps.

You could start w/ 10:00 on weekends (Fri, Sat). On a school night, there really isn't a reason to be out - if there is one, sporting events, school activities, figure out how long it takes to get home and add about 15 mintues = 10 minutes drive time, plus 15 - 25 minutes after the activity is over.... I know it's hard sometimes, but most of the time, high school activities get over about the same time.

My 16 year old girl has to be home by 10 pm on weeknights (Sun-Thurs), unless she's made prior arrangements (such as her play rehearsal lasting until 10), and midnight on weekends. I'll probably make a special exception for prom this year, but not Homecoming or anything like that.

On schoolnights? Depends on what time her school starts.

Edit:

8:30?! Good god, give the girl some freedom. I'd say 10:00. I'm younger than sixteen and I can stay out later than 8:30, that's just ridiculous.

10 on a school night. Depending on how much you trust your daughter, how responsible she is, and her personality 11:45-1:30 on a weekend. Excluding Sunday because she has school the next day.

On weeknights 7:30. if she finishes her homework before supper then 8.
On weekends 10. chances are your teen will go to the show with her friends.
But you have to initiative, you tell her that these are the rules and if she breaks them her crufew drops to an earlier time. Hope that helps you out.
