this is what a girl i like sent me, after i asked her how she felt. i know it sounds like a nice way of saying no, but her and her mom are really close, and she says shes just REALLY scared of ruining the friendship. What should i think she( the girl i like) is telling me, based on this email
hey,
well first of all, I don't hate you. second, I haven't been avoiding you either becuase its not been just swimming that I've been busy with its been life.I also haven't been beating around the bush because you never asked me if I did or not. But I haven't ever thought of being more than friends with you because we've always been good friends and I think thats how things should stay.I just don't want to ruin a friendship.hope you've had a good day, and i will talk to you later

I would just be her friend for now and then maybe in the future something else might happen. Just take it slow.

I think you are young and you should just leave this alone for now. Remain friends with her, she knows how you feel and if she changes her mind later on down the road...then it's meant to happen.
Personally I think the best relationships are usually between two people that have been friends first. There are times when the fear of losing a friend might interfere with being anything more than just friends. There is also the factor of attraction, there needs to be an attraction that both people feel in order to take friendship to another level. This doesn't mean you aren't attractive but she just might not see you that way since she has already labeled you as "just a friend". Good luck and don't limit yourself from dating other girls by waiting for her to come around.

Just be her friend for now. Maybe in a little while she will like you the way you like her. But whatever you do, don't become clingy, and don't call every second of every day, and don't drop huge hints! I have a friend who does that to me, and while I'm fond of him as a friend, it's a bit (okay a lot) creepy. So just be her friend and go on friendly dates, and then take it from there! :) And remember, a good relationship is based on friendship. :)

I would say based on the email that this girl you like doesn't want to ruin the friendship that already exists between the two of you. Take her word for it. At the very least she is being honest with you about her feelings about you.

It's not that it sounds like a nice way to say no, it is the nice way of saying no. She definatly don't want your relation to change. She is probably in love with some other guy.
Be straight to yourself and go on with her just as a friend, don't mention anything else anymore. Some girl will came up and you will fall in love.

Yep, sounds like all she wants to be is your friend, so if you are entertaining hopeful thoughts of a romance, she isn't ready. So, for now, just be friends. Afterall, it has been said many good, lasting relationships are formed by being friends.

I think thats a pretty direct way of saying no to you. You ought to accept it at face value and look elsewhere for a gf. You should appreciate the honesty that shows respect for your friendship.

It sounds as if she's not ready to take the relationship to the next level yet. Just keep being her friend and hopefully things will change later if they are meant to.

She's saying "I haven't ever THOUGHT of being more." In other words; we're always just going to be friends.
Lots of fish out there : ))
