by the way the both of them are really good friends... is it a way of the guy to let the girl know that he has feelings for her? do guys do normally do this to their friends or they have to be at least ineterested in a girl?

It means he thinks she's beautiful and has feelings for her. He also might want to kiss her. It's a way of saying I love you and showing a passion for admiration

Its hard to say because some people are just affectionate to everybody, and it depends on what he was saying, but I think that in most cases when a guy takes a girl face into his hands he has some feelings for her. Its a sign of affection and the way he would hold her if he was kissing her.

It shows the guy really cares for his friend and there is a possibility of love too.
Its best to keep out of their business because they are the only ones who know the truth. Its sounds like u r jealous of this guy?
The girl is very lucky to have a guy who treats her like this. Hope its not for the wrong reasons though.

when my best friend did that to me when we were 13, I knew that he cared for me deeply. They tend to look you deeper in the eyes when they put their hands on either side of your face (as though they are looking into your soul), almost like they are carrasing you with their and letting you know that they will always protect you.
I've never known a man to do that and NOT care for the girl with romantically.
BTW - a few weeks after he did that with me, he confessed that he had fallen in love with me. We've just celebrated our 4 1/2 year anniversery...
So I'm assuming that this boy that you speak of cares about this girl in a more-then-friendship-way.

Generally it's something he'll only do to somebody he's attracted to, or really close friends with. Either way it means he considers you somebody close to him. There's a strong possibility he's into you.
