Even if it's just a ploy to meet you, it may be all he can come up with on the spur of the moment. Do you like or is it a turn-off?

I do sometimes. Cuz that way I can give a witty answer if I like him or not. But if I don't feel like it, I flat out tell them you have never met me before a day in your life and just walk a way. But I do think that is a good line if the guy isn't too aggressive about saying it. I mean its one thing to casually come up to the woman in the bar with her friends and try the line. Instead of watching the single woman at the bar and staring her down while you drink beer after beer to gain your courage to even talk to her. Cuz with you super drunk that is a turn-off to women. And you totally lose that "would you like to come in for a night cap" line right there, since its usually the hidden invite to getting some or at least starting something more serious. So drink wisely and don't try the same line in one night.

older people do that all the time. It's not a turn off but me personally don't like it. It's not cool.
