My wife asked me this just last night; there was a program about him on one channel or the other.
The truth is, I don't know. I have never seen him in person, and I am a skeptic about anything I see on TV. But, He does pull off some amazing stuff. The problem is, the Bible is full of warnings to stay away from magic.
So, my first thought about David Blaine is that he is messing with things that he should not.
Now, let us say that those things he does are really and truly not just sleight of hand, tricks, etc. Where do you think he gets the ability to do those things? Not from God. So, where else could it come from? Yes, Satan.
Now, I am not saying that David Blaine is Satan, because he is not. But, he is dealing in the powers of Satan, and the demons of Satan, by practicing magic. These are arts that are used to decieve people. This will become more and more common as we approach, and then enter, the end times. More like him will show up, and then one (the false prophet) will start pulling off some really big tricks or 'miracles.'
Watch out for this stuff and stay away from it. I admit, it can be entertaining. But that's the point; it is so easy to get sucked in.
I don't know David Blaine as a person of course, but I do not like what he does. I think we as Christians should not support the practice of magic and should warn others of the dangers.

He is an attention seeking a**, i havent seen him do any real magic in years. Sitting in a tank for 5 days with breathing equipment on isnt magic..if only he had tried it without the breathing equipment (sigh). It is more the fact that he does these stunts to get attention, if he had done it for charity or something like that then he would have my full support.

I think almost all the people who answered this question are idiots. He's an awesome guy with awesome tricks. He doesn't deal with god or satan because neither of them exist. His magic obviously isn't real but he's really good at illusioning and stuff and making it seem really real.

I thought it was real, and I was shocked! I was blown away by this dude AND THEN I saw a show "Outing" all his illusions..
It aint real and that bites lol!
