It's harder to get rid of pain in the first place than it is to hold it under control after a short course of analgaesics. Take 2 x 500 mg of Paracetamol every 6 hours. You can also get CoCodamol which is 500mg of Paracetamol with 8mg of Codeine. This is the strongest opiate-based painkiller that is available without prescription in the UK. This can also be taken as 2 tablets every six hours, but it will make you constipated as codeine anaesthetises the bowel somewhat. Constant pain should be investigated by your GP.
Many people respond better to Ibuprofen, and this can be taken at the 400mg rate every six hours. Ibuprofen is an NSAID ( Non steroidal anti inflammatory drug) and reduces inflammation.
Don't take either tablet on an empty stomach.

Does this sounds ok First ask you Doctor, if you don't know .what it is ,where did yiou get it over the counter, Or I
I would ask the pharmacist. Drugs cause reactions that can be fatal. It saddens me to think that a lot of peoeplw will ingest anything when pain is involwed, Be safe whatever your source of pain is coming fron there are pain management programs Some with medication Some not Please don't be so ready to pop a pill

Shouldn't take too long, all depends on the level of pain you have. I had a tooth abcess not long ago - the pain was unbelievable. Paracetemol took it away quite effectively within about 20 minutes.

If you have pain then paracetamol is the wrong stuff. It does not take effect. YOU MIGHT AS WELL WATCH PAINT DRY. Ask your pharmacist, he will put you straight.
