In the Venus adverts the girls always seem to shave the upper half of the leg past the knee. I was told this shouldn't be done. Whats the normal leg shaving procedure?

If you have unwanted hair above the calf then it should only EVER be WAXED off!
Shaving stimulates the hair follicle and causes the hair to grow back more vigorously than before - waxing retards the root and - in time - the root will die and no more hair will grow.......I've been waxing since my late 30's and now I'm in my early 50's I not only have about 6 hairs growing on the front of my calves; I have a wish that I'd started waxing when I was 17!!

I shave the whole of my legs sweetie, The thigh are is generally not too bad as the friction from tights, trousers, or leggings simply rubs them away, but if I was wearing a short skirt or bikini I'd shave the lot. I'd even trim a little higher to ensure nothing pops out.

i think its actually about personal preference! if u dont wanna shave above yr knees then dont,if u wanna then do so! only trouble with shaving is if u do it once .. then the hair is gonna grow back thicker .. so chances are yr gonna have to keep on doing it.. but even so its a personal thing,i have a full leg wax every 3 months .. have done since i was 16.. i like to have silky smooth legs.

I usually don't. I only do if I'm going swimming, but then again, I have a very protective father who made me stop swimming a few years ago because he didn't want guys looking at me. My shortest skirts come barely above my knees, so I generally only shave up to a little bit above my knee..how much ever skin will show when i sit down.

How short are the dresses and skirts that you wear? Most women that I know shave to about the top of their legs. But this is a personnel question. You shave has high or low as you want!

Shaving the calves and below the knee. Above the knee shaving is unessissary and is only done in commercials and ads for easier advertising.

YESSSS of course you have to what about when u wear ur cute little mini skirt and u have half a hairy leg! shave the whole lot, the only hair i have on my body is my hair on my head and my eye brows and eye lashes!!!! i shave everything else right off!!!

Wow! I've always shaved my whole leg, even above the knees just because I like completely smooth legs. I guess it's just preference.

Forget the rules, shave whatever is visibly hairy. Not every woman has sparse hair on their thighs, some are hairier, and some have black hair that's more visible. Sometimes, if in the sun, heavy blonde hairs will show up very well. There's no hard and fast rules, people are different.

usually I shave above the knees for swimsuits and I shave a little above the knee when I wear skirts. Don't trust advertisments though.
