yes, real christians that they were, would have sung songs to Jesus ("Amazing Grace" maybe), prayed to Jesus. No doubt it was a perfect time for some hell fire preaching, alot of confessions the next day or even that day. Recommitments for the lord would have increased a little. Unfortunatly there would have been a few atheist faking it also, so as to not be the next ones on the hit list.
That reminds me..... where is the "I'm Sorry" to the witches going to happen? The Pope can do it I reckon.

Singing has always gone hand in hand with corrupted christianity. What do you think they were doing when they were worshipping the golden calf. Exodus 32:17 Now when Joshua heard the sound of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, "There is a sound of war in the camp." 18 But he said, "It is not the sound of the cry of triumph, Nor is it the sound of the cry of defeat; But the sound of singing I hear."
In 1 Corinthians God says that one of the four signs that the chuch has entered the apostate age is that it will become a "singing church."

I don't know that any ever literally sang hymns as the fires rose, but they certainly did think they were doing what their Savior would want. I honestly believe some exist even today--and in greater numbers than we might like to believe--that would be gathering kindling again if the civil law did not prevent them.
Ah, the immoral acts committed in the name of religion.

They probably were, the same why the Rev Phelps crew sings hyms while protesting dead soldiers. Don't make the mistake of assuming people actually ARE Christians just because they take the lable. People of all walks of life do evil horrible things and just as much as I should assume all atheists are evil because some are, you shouldnt assume Christians are because some horrible people take the name.

Christians weren't the only ones that were burning witches. Most did not sing, most prayed quietly or quoted scriptures. Very few of them tried to convince others that what they were doing was wrong for fear that they too would end up on the pike.
It seems ironic that they would be praying to a god to save the soul of someone else when they themselves were damming their own souls for committing murder. Twisted history at it's finest.

Yes, I'm sure they were singing and screaming "Praise Jesus... we got another one!" Though, whether or not they were actually witches, I have doubts. Seems most of those ppl were actually Christians who just had crappy neighbors or a Priest who wanted their land.

Probably, you know the hypocrisy of Christianity.
Besides, everyone knows that Jesus was a shaman. Jesus is even quoted in the bible saying "If ye had faith so little as a mustard seed, you could do all these things I do and more." and also "The Power is within."
Think about it.

They were pretty religious back then. Did they even believe in loud public singing? Not that it matters, because singing or no singing, burning somebody alive is pretty damn sadistic.

Maybe not singing hymns but I know they were praying to him, reading out of the Bible . . . praying for the witches' souls as they burned them . . . how's that for hypocrisy?
