I'm not saying ALL so dont have a go at me. But i already know two people in my family(guys)who are having affairs and also my boyfriend cheated on me,and he even talked about(when we were together)his friends cheating on there wives/gf's. Most men are dirty lying scum.

Why are most people who answer this question flipping the script because believe it or not women are just as bad if not worse, i feel for ya i really do but its a ladette society, women are the binge drinkers, the party goers, they wear the trousers in the relationship & make the first moves, more & more women are out bringing home the bread while men take the place of the common housewife (watch the pro-feminists jump on this one). We just cant seem to find the balance! So parkfieldnr16 & all you other girls who had an experience with mr wrong don't let your personal experiences put you off us guys, there's good decent honest men out there with good (old-fashioned) values & respect for there counter-parts, don't give up the search! Let those bad experiences stand as a lesson learned & maybe this will help you spot those signs early next time round & get out before you allow any feelings to develop! Good luck!

its encouraged by mass media. the sort of morons who buy lads mags (because they dont have the bottle to reach for the top shelf) and read about all sorts of sex-related nonsense are the sort of blokes who will go around cheating. the reason for this is they have no grasp of responsibility, trust or loyalty and are unable to love because they do not love themselves - they just love the idea of themselves, conforming to some marketing strategy disguised as a life-choice.
i've been cheated on in the past and it gave me a kick up the **** to steer well clear of the female equivalent of the aforementioned blokes. and i wouldnt say most guys - just a sizeable chunk are "dirty lying scum" but thats the human race for ya.
i pity those that will inherit this mess once we're gone.

Like you say its not ALL men, but it is most you are correct ive never PERSONALLY been cheated on Ive never given them the chance.....but why well could be commitment phobia/ maybe not being emotionally or physically by curren relatoinship/ personality / how they were brought up or because they themselves have been cheated on a few times.......all of these are reasons for it, the same reasons women cheat.

Well alot of guys dont really have enough will and maturity to actually care about someone elses feelings, and the fact that they think the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence... they say thats human nature...I believe it has to do with dating and seeing someone your not really that interested in and just dating them to be dating them... I like to think of cheating like buying a car... if u buy a car thats not your dream car your always looking for a better deal, however if u had the car u always wanted, are u still looking for a better deal or satisfied with what u have? Thats my opinion on why most guys/girls cheat... hope this helps =)

You have become cynical because of the actions of some of the men around you. This makes you think that because of what you are experiencing that it must be true of most men. How about turning it around in your head? You are unfortunate to have gone out with someone like that and to know men like that. I'm sure you must know men who don't have affairs and who are faithful. I believe that faithful men are actually the majority. A silent majority but the majority nonetheless.
I wish you all the best in finding a man who proves to you that men are capable of being faithful.

I reckon it is the girls as well as the guys.. in fact I know it is... sad as it may be.. .I do not think t has anything to do with your sex, or age, more to do with your personal stand on the matter.... and your mental health, and how true you are to yourself...
there are good people out there who cheat, everyone makes mistakes.. and some people are just not ready for what it takes for a great trusting relationship..

OK the ones that cheat are very shallow and if you find yourself being the one leading or starting conversation the one who does the calling chasing then these guys are mummies boys. Spoilt and have no respect for women.

As for the human male to go sleeping around it is a natural process, or instint, it's a means of spreading his seed so to say, but a male with better understanding of himself with moral ethics doesn't feel the need to do this.
