Yes, the child support will have to be given by you and father, to whomever has the child. But if the child is almost 18 why bother now? You know the courts will ask you the same question.

No the mother cannot get child support. If the child lives with his or her father than the mother should have been paying child support. If the child lives with another family member then both dead beat parents should have been paying.

Wrong again. Women get support all the time for children that aren't living with them.

Worst case I knew was after the big push on c/s in the 80s. I worked with a woman who was step mom to her husband's kids. He had taken them in after the divorce, not thinking he had to go to court.

That couple raised those kids for 15 years, paid all their expenses.

Yet, your wonderful feminists got laws passed which says buying food and clothes and medical care does NOT constitute payment of child support. So, taking 100% care of those kids for 15 years did not count as child support, and they were told he had to pay 15 years back support to the mother who did nothing for those kids.

I had to tell them there was nothing I could do for them, that the law said exactly that.

That is the real child support law, not what you imagine it is.

Let me say again, child support as it is currently administered is absolute proof that women think they are helpless and inferior to men, and cannot survive without receiving money from a man, no matter how much money the woman makes.

The part I like best is men are rapidly turning away from marriage because of insane laws like this. The biggest problem women over 25 have, is they can't find husbands. Couldn't happen to a better bunch of people.

No, why should she? Child support is literally that-Support for raising a child. If the father is raising the child it is most likely that he can have the mother pay child support depending upon income.

What part of child support is confusing to you? The money is to support the child. Either parent can be held accountable for financial support of their child - whether or not they are or were ever married is irrelevant.

Thank God this child is not in your care. Maybe it will learn a little bit of personal responsibility.

No. The support would have to go to whomever was raising the child. They would have to file for legal Guardianship to get it. And yes those people could sue the mother for child support if they chose to.

Er what the hell is she supporting. No she can't get child support for herself. She must be supporting the child to get schild support. She may have to pay child support on the other hand to the person support the child.
