You would be a fool not to and you may regret not doing it. What harm can it do to say hi to an old friend and ask her out for a movie. Don't do dinner on the first date that can lead to uncomfortable silence, uncomfortable situations. A funny movie how ever will give the two of you time to bond, and frankly laughter goes a lot farther than an order of fries. She will remember what a good time she had laughing with you and you are a sure bet for a second date. Besides you can share popcorn, that's always a cool thing.

Sounds like you think you'll be lonely or left out of dates in college & want a backup. OK, OK, maybe that's not how it is - but that's what it sounds like. You don't know the first thing about her, she could have children for all you know! Talk to her, get to know her, keep it light, sure, ask her out. Just say, Hi, I remember you from biology class, I'm Joe. How are you getting on? Any college plans?

Ask her if she likes movies, would she like to see one with you, as a date?

If it doesn't work out, so what, you will be that bit more confident asking someone else out, and not make such a huge drama out of it! And any girl who does like you will then know that you are interested in dating women, OK?

Maybe she will date you for a while. Maybe you'll meet others in college, maybe you'll join a lot of societies in first year & have a great time. Keep it light, give it time.

If you really like her then go for it. If you think it is really meant to be then something will happen. I honestly think that you should be able to decide on this other than having a class with her. If you're compatible with her then that's definately a plus. Even if you don't end up with someone going to the same college where there is a will there is a way. I know people say long distance relationships don't last.... but if it's meant to be then you're made.

Do what your heart tells you to do first thing is you really need to talk to this girl to see if you have anything in common. Then ask her to the movies or something. Your young so if she is not the one there are plenty more out there, I have three boys ages 19, 15, and 13. My oldest always asks me advise and I tell him the same thing I told you. Good luck

You should be seeking a man's opinion, son. Don't get too caught up in one girl. Especially not at your age. I was there. I did that. Tore my heart out. I'm not kidding. Stunted my life. Do not let yourself get caught up with one chick. It'll tear you apart. It did me. Please listen. If she isn't going for you, and I mean NOW, then forget it. Do yourself a huge favor and move on. I carried on with her sister about how to get her to love me. I sent flowers. I did everything I thought was in my power. Now she has two half black children. Hmmm. Oh, you 're falling. Just like I did. Clear your head, which is VERY hard to do. But DO IT!.

I went to a really big school, and yet everybody knew everybody else, and there was always some reason to talk to each other. Maybe she will be at a dance (the kind everybody just shows up to, not a prom type)..... good luck.

Slow down. You can't be falling for someone that you hardly know. However, there's nothing wrong with starting a conversation with her the next time you see her. If you both enjoy talking to each other, ask her out on a date.
