As an atheist, my understanding is that there is no divine entity (god).

A common misconception is that atheism is a belief. I neither believe nor disbelieve; I either know or I don't know.

The only thing in common with all atheists is a lack of belief in god.

Even the reasons for why we do not believe in god will differ.

I am an atheist because I have never found a reason to believe.

Many people have the misconception that buddhists worship buddha. This is not true. He was a man who stayed behind to try to end suffering. We believe that the world is full of suffering caused by desire for worldly things and try ro destroy the ego (the root of all desire) through meditation and the following of the eight-fold path.

I am Agnostic..... which TO ME~ means that I do not believe in God. I have never believed.... even when I was little and my mom would take me to church.... I thought that if Santa could come one a year well then God could come just once.... I know I know there is no such thing as Santa and for me there is no such thing as God. Now if God was to ever sit next to me and we were to have a long debate and talk about a lot of things.... I may believe, then again I may not.
I believe in myself. I believe in my ability to know what is right and wrong and to live within the laws of the Constitution. I believe that what goes around comes around.... to do good things with your life. To love, to laugh, to be free of hate, and to live honestly. There is more but I don't have all night to type and type....

Tough question.
If you would interview 10 people from every group you may get ten different answers.
I am Muslim. I believe that the basics of true Islam is to Spread Peace and Love throughout the world....not different to christian basics of "love one Another' however, many of my Muslim Brothers and Sisters would disagree and many Christians will curse me for saing that Jesus and Prophet Mohammad taught the same.
