Take them to the park, throw a football/frisbee, etc...some movie theaters have a free series once a week. Look on the website for your area and there are usually things listed in the events section. You'd be surprised by how much you can find on those things!

If your son likes games maybe you can go to neopets.com. When you open an account for your children it'll provide specific age groups where let's say a 5 yr old might have certain boundaries to where he can go on neopets whereas a 10 yr old might have more boundaries than his little brother does. The site is free and all the games that is offered is individual play, which means your boys won't be coming across strangers or anything negative. If you're curious what neopets.com is .. it's a virtural game where a person can create up to four pets, name and choose colors of red, green, blue and yellow, play games to earn fake money called neopoints or nps for short and just build up his/her account. With the nps money a person is able to build their neohome, buy items from various shops or market. For more info, go to neopets.com

Buy them some sport items, footballs, skate boards, rollar blades. Get them from second hand shops, it will be cheaper. Then they will always have a free, fun, healthy activity to do. Also check with your local rec center for activities, they often have special funding for children who can't afford to pay.

Ask them what they would like to do. Watch a movie. Bake cookies or brownies. Not only can they help but it will get them started for when they get older they will know how to cook. If they know how to ride bikes and you do; all 3 of you go riding togther. Play sports of some kind. Video games.
