I know you dont want to surrender your wonderful fullfilling life to have to repent from things you doubt you could ever live without because you're addicted.

But have you ever thought about what you would gain?

Being an atheist that converted to Chrsitianity when I was 19; I can tell you that unbelievers cannot fathom what awaits them in Christ if they would turn toward God.....

However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him" -1 Corinthians 2:9

1) A willfull ingorance of reality?
2) Large hair?
3) An intollerance of anybody different from me?
4) A strange desire to watch Nascar or professional wrestling?
Are these the benefits you're talking about? Or do you mean like some kind of medical insurance?

Yes... here's a short list that's far from complete, but has a BIGGY on it...!

As a Christian:

1. We are given the right to become a child of God - We become part of His family (John 1:12)

2. We receive grace and truth (John 1:14, 16, 17)

3. We have everlasting life (John 3:16)

4. We worship God in spirit and truth (John 4:24)

5. We have peace and joy (John 14:27 & 15:11)

6. The Spirit of truth guides us into all truth (John 16:13)

7. We have been prayed for by Jesus Himself (John 17:20)

8. We shall be like Him (1st John 3:2)

Yay...!

Are you nuts? People lived 300,000 years before Jesus, and I'm sure most were happy. Today, nearly 6 billion people have no use for christianity at all. Mental institutions are full of people who talk to jesus, think they are jesus, or read the bible. What good is it?

I'd hate to give up my addiction to reality. That would really suck.

What would I gain? Hmmm, well, I'd get to give 10% of my income to support people who are shoving their beliefs down other people's throats, I'd get to give up my family time with my husband and daughter, and if I were truly following the Bible I'd get to let my husband speak for me since women are just not permitted to do so in church.
