Emancipation is a big step...
Your parents will not have any responsibility for you or your actions.....If you come crawling back after being on the streets then they can say See ya Kiddo! and boot you to the street. Be careful out there

It is a judicial process, you will need a lawyer.....Oh ya you'll have to pay for them unless you get a Juvenile courts appointed lawyer...First year out of law school Good Luck

I never was but I know of the process.
You have to be 16 years of age.
You must have a full time job
You must live on your own pay rent and all utilities
You must have a good reason and it needs to be in your best interest
Your parents or guardians must be okay with it
You must pay for anything and everything, (Food, clothes, stuff, medical and car...and so on)
And even if you put it into the court, it may take several month or even a year until they hear your case.
