A rumor can certainly be insulting, but remeber these words of wisdom: An insult is like a glass of water offered to you...it only affects you if you accept it.

Rumors are usually produced by someone who is jealous of you in some way, so, if you look at the situation this way, you are the one on top, with more to offer and nothing to lose. Walk proud, be happy with yourself, and it will all blow over leaving you shining. To those who start rumors, well, what goes around comes around, right?

Find the source, and confront him/her. But, only be concerned for what your real friends think. And if they believe that the rumor is true then they are not your real friends.

First, if the news is false, then please do not let it affect you. It will only affect you if you let it.

Second, be yourself. People will realize for themselves that the news about you is false.

Third, avoid situations where the rumor might be "proven". Please be aware of your surroundings. Please focus on your studies.

Fourth, this experience will be a learning one for you. Please avoid spreading news, since you know how it feels like to be the recipient.
