We pray, in Hebrew, mostly quietly, with a leader to pace the people. Some parts are standing. For some parts, the leader prays out loud. On Monday, Thursday, Festivals, fast days, and the Sabbath we take out the Torah in the middle and a man reads from it, using a set 'tune'. Men and women are seperate, everyone is facing the Ark, or east (Towards Jerusalem). The leader, a man, stands in front.

If you're doing a paper on it you should really understand it. Why not actually GO to a synagogue and talk to a rabbi yourself. I'm sure nobody would mind. That would be much better than an answer from some random person off the internet.

You clearly haven't started much research--It's not a church service, it's called either temple or synagogue.

I have never been to a Christian service besides a few weddings, but I would hazard a guess that it is similar, only with less Jeebus and more Hebrew.

The first thing it consists of is NOT calling it a "church" service. Learn the basic facts before asking a question.

A == Don't call it a "church" service. That's highly insulting.
B == We pray.
C == What kind of paper is this?
