the bad thing about lexapro it peters out after short term use of it (usually between 1 to 2 years). wellbutrin is a good antidepressant it affects people in different ways,it may work real good for you,it something your just going to have to try out as a prcess of elimination to find what actually works for you.

This is a tricky question lots of variables to consider like does it work for you? Can you handle the side effects? I took lexapro and the side effects depressed me more than i already was. So I think you should discuss this with your doctor but, on the other hand i have heard good things about wellbutrin.

It depends on your symptoms and how you respond. You should listen to your doctor. Sometimes it's trial and error until they find the right one for you. If you are having a lot of anxiety and not as much depression then Lexapro might be better. If you are mainly depressed and especially if you are very lethargic and unmotivated Wellbutrin may help get you moving again.

The decision is yours..wellbutrin gave me the worst neverending migraine along with imsomnia..but Im sure the side effects are different for everyone

I personally hate Wellbutrin. It made me feel like I was on speed or something.
