Sometimes it does and sometimes it is a relief to be away it all depends upon the circumstances.

I think it does. Being apart from someone can make you start to think about that person or thing and you begin to love it even more. For example, I've been away from my grandma for a long time and when I got to see her in Georgia, I was so happy and I received so much love from her and my family. Also, when I was away from my boyfriend for about a month when I went to Georgia I missed him so much. Now that I was able to see him today, I felt as if I fell in love with him all over again. So I do believe absence makes the heart frow fonder.

Not only does absence make it grow fonder..but time and distance do as well. I loved someone...but it turned out that the long distance part of our relationship was not quite working anymore..so we decided to call it quits..however we came to realize that not being together made us grow fonder of each other...and made us realize just how much we truely loved each other..We decided that anything worth having is worth waiting for..and if you love someone...nothing will keep you apart..not even the depths of the sea...so I mean yes love conquers all..and distance does make the heart grow fonder..

I think it actually works both ways. When I broke up with my one boyfriend, a few years ago, he really started to miss me after a few weeks. Even to this day he still calls me. Now, I like this other guy, who isn't ready to date yet, so I've decided to leave him alone and give him some space. I'm hoping his heart will grow fonder.

I believe it.My husband does contract work and every year for about 3 months works approximately 350 kilometres away from our home only because the money is really good. Most week ends he comes back, but towards the end,he might not be able to come back as he might be to busy at work, and just wants the job finished.By the end of the week when he is gone and l know that he is coming back,I am like a love sick puppy, and if he rings to say he can't come back,I swear my heart aches and l usaully ball my eyes out.(but don't tell my husband that)

I think it's an overused expression. I've dated guys long distance, and it may have made me want them more, but it always seemed to do the opposite for them. Their loss!

Definitely
When you are in a relationship and you are away from the person and not having daily contact, you begin to miss them and they are not around to do all the little annoying things that they normally do. So you are all filled up with anticipation to see them. then they return and they are back for a few days and things go back to normal.
All my opinion of course
