do you that its okay that we have sperm banks? don't you think that the baby has the right to know his dad and live like a normal family? what if 2 kids of a sperm donor ever met, liked each other and got married, without ever knowing that they are brother and sister , i know that's really hard to happen like one in a billion but isn't the thought enough to think about ?
and what if the donor lied in his reports how would you ever know? there isn't a couple who got married and didn't find some thing about each other so how about ppl who had never met ?
i know that every women has the right to have a baby and be a mother but don't babies have the right to have a dad i think its ?
and what about dads who may not know any thing about there kids wouldn't they want to know ? or is it just a money thing coz it looks like it to me ?

as you may see clearly i don't approve of it, but i want to know what you all think too

If God wanted a women to have a baby on her own he would have made her that way. He made it so a MAN and a WOMAN had to get together to have a child. I'm not big on sperm banks, I feel children are a special thing and you should only have a child with the one that you love. Not some person you never met. And your are right how do you know if they lie?

You raise lots of important questions...

I think in the end if a women wants to start a family but is a lesbian or just doesn't want a man involved (raises the child solo) or her man is sterile; then that is her choice and she should be able to do so.

Most sperm banks are now pushing donors to be known donors....which means that the donor will meet the child once they turn 18. The sperm recipients are happier with this arrangement then the old 'Anonymous Donor' ways of the past, and are willing to pay more to do so.

i dont approve either, it just kinda messes up ur life to know that there is someone else out there whos in ur direct family, you will have to adjust to those settings very quickly. even more if that person was gonna live with u, a new brother whos like 18 years old lol.
