This is a good question.
I think most of you people who said 'no' didn't really understand what this guy was trying to ask you.
What is Heaven? Does anyone of us really know the answer? Does anyone of us know for sure that Heaven exists at all? And if it does (I believe it does), how will you people ever know if the man that the asker described us went to Heaven or not?
My answer is 'I don't know' and that's the way it should be.
Thanks.

You aren't truly "born" a Christian, nor are you "raised" a Christian. You "choose" to be a a Christian when you choose to follow Christ.

People aren't Christian by association, they are Christian by choice.

Being "like a Christian" is a cultural thing. Actually being a follower of Christ is something entirely different.

As for the "can he still go to heaven when he dies" is not a question for me to answer. That's not the be-all, end-all reason why I personally follow Christ. (I'm motivated by the "I came so they might have abundant life" stuff). But I'm sure many others will give you a hearty "no" to that one.

However, just because one doesn't believe in God during his lifetime doesn't mean that God didn't believe in him. Personally, I leave it up to God to do what s/he wishes at that point. Many of my fellow Christians will disagree. That's okay with me. I know that eternity is a long time to spend without a "savior" -- but my savior is relevant to me right now, while I'm living. I have no doubts about the future, for me.

In the end, no matter how hard you try to raise someone as a Christian and to become a Christian, the decision is for THAT PERSON to decide. I believe that as long as he thinks that some sort of god or powerful spiritual being exists, then he may. I think that only those who are sinful and do wrong things will have little chances of going to heaven.

You cannot be born a Christian, and Christianity is not inherited or an action. It is a heart, a relationship. Someone could even convert thousands to Christianity but not be a Christian, and the Bible clearly states that heaven is a perfect place, and anything with sin cannot enter. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our LORD Romans 6:23.

A tenet of the Christian faith is that one must believe in the full sufficiency of Jesus’ atonement on the cross to be saved. One can be raised in a Christian Church, recite the creeds, and behave without serious moral blemish, but without a sincere conviction in ones heart and mind concerning the spiritual truth of Jesus’ crucifixion and ascension into heaven, there can be no salvation. Since the whole scheme of this salvation scenario is predicated on the notion that Jesus is God, to not believe in God, naturally precludes the unbeliever from entry into heaven. So, no, one cannot deny the existence of God, and enter into heaven according to orthodox Christian theology.

I believe that salvation is a personal decision that no one else can make for you. So even if you are born into a Christian family, taught all about Christianity, even if you go to church every Sunday, even if you live a "good life" morally, that does not save you. You must trust in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life. You need to rest upon Christ alone and what He has done rather than in what you can do to get into heaven.

Acts 16:31 Believe in Jesus Christ and you will be saved

That's a good question.....Most Christians are gonna tell you no cause they have to accept Jesus as their savior in order to enter heaven. My belief is different than that, and as a Christian I still struggle with some of these things. I believe that the way to heaven is by practicing what Jesus taught....the way, the light, the life. Through THOSE things you enter heaven. God is loving, forgiving and understanding. We are here a mere blink of an eye in the grand scheme of things. Would God put you in a place like hell just because you didn't get it right the first time around? Like I said...I struggle with some of these things, but I feel that by following His teachings we get to heaven......regardless of whether or not we profess our faith or not.

We are all god's children and he waits for us to come to him just as he always has. I have known people who hated god all their lives and yet at the time of their death, or close to it, they open their hearts and ask his forgiveness. Anyone who asks to be saved shall be saved. Is there a time line? Have never read about one. I believe that our god holds good to his word, that if we accept god as our Savior and believe in him, you will go to heaven. Even if it is at the very point when you die. Yes, I believe you can still make it to heaven.

According to the Bible, you must accept Jesus as your personal savior to go to heaven. This replaces the old system of killing and/or destroying your material posessions in order to gain favor of god through personal sacrifice.

I personally don't believe in christianity, but grew up in a christian lifestyle, baptised when I was young, and all that stuff. I don't believe I will be going to heaven because I don't really believe in such a place.

There is only one unforgivable sin...blasphemy. That would be to turn against God and not turn back If a person turns from God and does not become the prodical son and return, that person may not go to heaven. Otherwise, ask and be forgiven. The Bible says that if you are late to your own wedding you can still be married. AKA, if you accept God at the last moment, he will accept you as well.
