Should wiccanisim be funded to convert the middle east?

Lets look at the facts...

Wiccanisim ie withcraft has no history or relgious wars, oppression, violence, sexaul abuse, abuse of women etc.

In fact its the only relgious that empowers women truely seeing them as leaders and having no hang ups with nudity or sex

With a moral code not based on rules but in treating others nicely.

Plus it works much is based around psychology and science.

Its not faith based either.

The only reason islam seems better as more violent and higher in number and works on brainwashing ...

So would the world not be better is the islamic nations were turned into what coul best be described as flower children hippies? who like natures, hugging bunnies etc

******************************

Lets look at the facts...

those saying mind your own business or this is our way are no different to muggers, rapists and crack dealers hurting folk and not wanting others to stop their crimes...

And anyone supporting such crimes saying don't interfear should be given a taste of what they want done to others... ie have their hands smashed with rocks or hacked off and see how they like it and if then they support it done to others

OK, although DO I appreciate your tolerance to my faith (and your correctness in that there have been no wars, etc.), Wiccans DO NOT CONVERT OTHERS. That is not our game plan. It's not about "numbers" for us. If one feels pulled by the powers that be to examine and explore the Wiccan faith, then Blessed Be!--if not, they'll find the path that suits them--it all leads to the same place!

Furthermore, we're not all a bunch of "hippies". Actually, when one is a "hippy" (or a "goth"), I'm a bit suspicious of their true motivations when they say they are "Wiccan". Is it just a fashion statement, phase, etc.?

And finally, Wicca is FOREMOST a RELIGION, before it is a means to practice magick. Therefore, it is in essence, a FAITH--albeit a very generous one that allows you to pick and choose between pantheons. One who is only in it to practice "witchcraft" is not a true Wiccan. This person would be better off just practicing Ceremonial Magick and call themselves a "magician".

Blesings to you,
Priestess of Bast

This is a very good question. Why doesn't the USA convert first then it will stop dropping bombs on people and that will encourage the rest of us worlders, don't you think? Where exactly do you brainwashed dicks get the idea that Islam or Arabs are violent. Look at the facts. Western forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, Gaza, Lebanon and are eyeing Iran and Syria. What do you think, if you do, that is?

The middle east would be far better off with creating a nation where the the innocent are taken away to be nurtured and the suicidal maniacs put on an island where some other suicidal maniac can do a 11th sep favour.

converting is bad. people should find their belief emerging from within their soul. "flower children hippies and hugging bunnies" is not the best way to describe witches. Who says witches had no religion wars, oppression, violence, sexual abuse of women? what do you think the Inquisitions were? the poor little christian were just trying to protect themselves against the "evil witches". Come on, now...
And as i said before converting is baaaaaaadddd

You've never encountered a "Witch war", have you? That's when all the Wiccans, Witches, and Neo-Pagans in a town or on a forum start bickering.

It *is* a religion that involves faith.

And we don't have a mandate to convert. I for one don't care if nobody else ever becomes a Witch, just so long as we're treated nicely.

why should we force our views and beliefs on other, its the whole reason there is conflict in the middle east at the moment. as there hasn't been a Wicca culture to the scale of Islam/Christianity/Judaism you can't compare. they actions of religions are based on their environment. Christianity is seen by many as still a chauvinistic religion, however it has evolved on its own to how it is today. the best solution for Islam is to let the people themselves decide their own future, if they want to change or stay the same, that's up to them.

Your heart is in the right place. If you tried to convert anyone to anything over there, you would quickly be several inches shorter at the neck. Your idea was worth a smile though.

I guess you don't really know the religion that well.

Because you are basically stating the facts that someone who doesn't know the deep foundations of it would state.

These are the principles for when you just join Wicca.

These are not the principles or practices once you get past the facade that they tell so you join.

Do not be fooled it is a very evil practice.

Wicca fundamentals are what the Nazi army's blood religion was based upon. Wicca is nothing but paganism.

First of all, there's no such thing as "Wiccanism." The religion is called "Wicca," and its practitioners are called "Wiccans."

Second, most Wiccans don't proselytize nor do they try to convert others. Wiccans believe that everyone should be free to follow their own path.

The problem is with followers of certain religions who feel that they're morally superior to everyone else & feel that their religion trumps everyone else's.

And even though Wicca is part of my path, I'd be extremely reluctant to demand that everyone else follow suit.

:: Laughs. ::

You mean Wicca and Paganism, friend.

And, if such a thing was funded... I'd gladly go over to the Middle East to help out.
