Well, if you owed a hospital, or other agency money, the state, in their infinite wisdom, though they work for YOUR tax dollars, will take whatever you are due and apply that amount to your bill, until that bill is paid up. I guess they get a large enough kickback from those other corporations to say scr*ew the people we are supposed to be working for.

What state are you in?? If it is Georgia, good luck. Lots of problems here. All I ever get when I call them is "The return is under examination now, you need to talk to an examiner about it and the examiners are not taking phone calls now." It has been that way for a couple of months now. WTF!?

either you owed somebody money or it got lost in the mail. Call your state's division of taxation.
