It sounds like your bird has reached sexual maturity and has "fallen in love" with his perch! Birds will bring up food as an offering for their mate and attempt to feed them...showing how good a husband he could be and how well he will take care of her and their babies. Birds can "fall in love" with lots of different objects and with people too! The behavior is all the same! Good Luck!

Ordinarily smaller birds like yours ingest small rocks or gravel, then they'll use it to grind seed into smaller pieces that they can swallow. I'd guess the bird needs some of the gravel, which you can pick up in any pet store that sells bird supplies. Ordinary sand might work, but I'd use the stuff from the pet store.
You'll know that's what it is when you hear the bird grinding away, especially at night after lights out.

The beak tapping is normal, but not vomiting. Call an avian vet and check with the people there. They can better advise if you need to bring the bird in.

No your cockatiel is just trying to romance you. You may need to get a another bird for yours to bond with because it seems lonely trying to get your attention. It isnt dying or crazy, just lonely and hormonal. This is after all, a bird who breeds year round.

Your bird has decided that his perch is his mate, he is telling it he loves it and is feeding it. He is fine and healthy and just misguided on who a mate should be. OK, Maybe a little nutty, LOL, but typical.
