they usually say "hola guera" because i'm light complected and many assume i'm white and don't know spanish.Once they figure I do,some shy away while others try and make idle chit chat,like if i go to school and what i'm going to school for.And of course the occasional "hey want to go out with me sometime",but that's a typical question asked by just males in general.Other than that at least the ones i have run into are very respectful and just try and mind their business.

It isn't a matter of being friendly and using manners. It is the fact that they are coming here illegally! I am all for immigrants that are here legally! That is what America is all about! But we will not have the finances and space for all of these people if the illegals aren't stopped! There is no reason to cross the border illegally when they can file paperwork and do it the correct way. Sure it takes time but it takes time for a country to have everything in order to know that these ppl are safe and to have made sure we can afford the added drain on our funding for medicade, schools,housing,etc.Most Americans don't hating the ppl, just the illegal flood that is swamping our country like Katrina did a year ago. I wish there was a way to get the educated legals and illegals to go home and start making there country a better place to live and work. They need to learn to dig in and work with their brains and stop running from their problems and across our borders creating new ones for us. Why would we want to allow ppl who came here illegally to be residents,what would they have to offer us but the values they have already shown-running from problems and stealing into our country! I am tired of hearing about the low paying jobs they take.They mainly take work from ppl who are trying to get out of paying taxes,contractors,housekeeping,yardwork,etc.!! I think that all of the ppl hiring them should have to pay large fines! Every law should be obeyed by them and the American employers!

They are the most eager to work, most americans are to lazy or expect to much wage for hardly any work.
Where I live white people have signs that say will work for food, but when i go to a home depot I can get a hard working mexican for an honest pay and works very hard and does what I want and calls me sir and will buy his own food, after I pay him and I sometimes drive him or them to a store to get things so they don't have to hoof it.
people like I love music are so narrow minded, if alot of the americans would go find a job there would be nothing for immigrants to do, but no, most won't work for minimum wage, because "I can't make it on that" ok so you can make it on nothing?

I'd like to ask them if they plan on paying TAXES on there money they get paid under the table. I've heard how ALL these Illegals pay Taxes but I HONESTLY find it hard to imagine Day laborers paying taxes. Which would mean there breaking Two laws One Entering the US without proper documentation and TWO Tax evasion. So when you ask what I see when I see day laborers standing in front of stores. I see CRIMINALS.

There is a spot neat our local carnaceria where they gather and they just stand there and talk amongst themselves until someone comes along. They don't run up to anybody or harass people as they pass. All they want to do is work, I have no problem with that.
