God is against divorce, but he is also against lying. And I have definetly lied before.
But you know what God wants? For you to be happy. So yes, pray for God to help you have a speedy divorce. Talk to him. He's your father. He'll listen. And if anything, having someone to listen makes anyone feel better about their problems.
p.s. just because it doesn't happen when you want it to doesn't mean He hasn't answered your question! It may not be when you want but doesn't mean his answer, although not timely, is not better for you!

Well, if it's due to something like adultery, sure. It's at least not morally wrong to get a divorce. Or if you have good reason to believe it wasn't a real marriage to begin with (e.g. you found out that he only married you because his family pressured him into it, or that you're close blood relatives, etc.), or if you changed religions after getting married, and he doesn't want to live with you anymore.
But if it isn't something that drastic, sure, it may be necessary to divorce, for example, to ensure your safety if you are being abused. The question is whether you can remarry after that (I would say not - because God joins married people together into one, and breaking that bond is possible, but much more than not recommended).
At any rate, there are a number of reasons that you may find it necessary to live apart from your husband, if you have studied the matter in Scripture and prayed about it and are satisfied that there is such a need, then sure - praying for the formalities to be taken care of quickly could be legitimate. Particularly, it seems to me, if you are being abused, it could make a real difference to your personal safety, and that definitely IS a legitimate thing to pray about.
May God bless you with discernment and understanding of how He views your situation, so that you will know how to pray.

Two part answer;
1. Is it o.k. to pray about the divorce to God? Yes
2. I do not presently know the circumstances of the divorce; but
A. The Lord told the Israelites to put the strange women away from them; (Ezra, Nehemiah) even if there were children involved.
B. Christians are allowed to get a divorce in the case of adultery.
Which part (if any) is applicable in your case presently; I do not know; that part is between you and God.
P.S. I presently do not consider Ezra and Nehemiah 'scriptural' old testament.

According to the bible, you are able to get a divorce if adultery was committed. God will forgive. Yes, you can pray on it.

I think it's okay when it's not for selfish reasons. I'll just let everyone think for themselves what does or doesn't count as a selfish reason.
But no matter what, it's always okay to pray!
best wishes

Read the book of Malachi, it talks about how God hates divorce. He doesn't just say it is wrong it says he HATES it.

If you feel good about praying for such happenings, that is your choice. God gave us our free will to do what we think is best for us.

God is for you. God isn't against anything you do. You have free will. God is love and would not want you to go through life unhappy. Learn from your experience.
