Well...I wonder if the story of enoch was a like event?

Makes me think of the part of the matrix when the people kept waking up because they couldn't live in a world that was perfect. Is curiosity and imperfection a pre=requisite for human life?

i have never understood the idea that rapture means the end of everything
for me the rapture ( if there is to be one ) is how you described .. an awakening .. a spiritual awakening.. if there is an end to anything it is an end to the darkness and unknown
and this is something that i feel is happening more and more anyway ...
so maybe it is happening as we speak

Enlightenment, meaning what? Meaning a chance to believe because they finally see something that they could not believe without seeing it? Then yes you are right. It doesn't make a difference though, so the enlightenment does not really matter.
Curiosity is a part of life because things could not be accepted as they were, with all the imperfections that existed because there was no knowledge of those imperfections. With knowledge, or power, comes an increasing need to control oneself, or increasing duties to be careful.
But this is not what was meant by the rapture. It means a sifting. The final battle if you will. A time for those to rest because others have just about depleted them of love, respect, happiness, health, even sense and logical reasoning. It is tiring keeping this up in the face of those just trying to corrupt what is. The physical, the mental, and even beauty.

Hi Corey,

According to the Bible the rapture is basically a time where Christ those who believe in Christ will be taken away from the earth. The reason is because after the rapture where God will punish sin upon the earth.

God however is very gracious and it is at that time where perhaps those who have heard of Christ will think it strange that all the Christians had disappeared. Also it will be a time where especially the Jews will recognize that Christ is the long awaited promised Messiah they had been waiting for.

During this time the Anti-Christ will reign and in the middle of his 7 year reign will commit what is known as the abomination of desolation where he will demand to be worshipped as God and all those who oppose will be persecuted.

While during that time after the rapture people will be able to believe in Christ and come to God, they will suffer because of the rule of the Anti-Christ.

When you hear about Armageddon at that the nations will gather together and come to fight God.

Anyhow i'd be pleased to try to answer more questions. This is a difficult question because to understand revelation requires an understanding of Daniel, Matthew 24-26, as well as several other old testament books as most of Revelation refers to prophecies found in the Old Testament. It's a rather complicated thing to explain (esp. without me knowing how much you know about the Bible) etc.

i hope this quick explanation helps and i'd be happy to try to help you out with any other questions you might have.

Kindly,

Nickster

Ya, the rapture is the second coming of Christ ... with the sound of a trump, no less.

But mass enlightenment sounds cool to me, like suddenly we all could do telepathy and our harmonics could .. uh...converge. We could all be on the same wave length and get together and sing "all we are saaaayyyyyingggg is give peace a chaaaance." I think that would be excellent.

Paul Thigpen, former Baptist minister became Catholic (and others ) has written adversarial to the Rapture, which Catholics in no way known besides. yet i'll inform you're a religious Protestant and probably received't examine this out. yet a minimum of recognize that it truly is way from a perception huge-spread in time and position, as you want to color it as.

First, there has to be a rapture--that isn't biblical.

Second, "NOTHING UNCLEAN SHALL ENTER IT.... Rev. 21:27-so to enter heaven, you have to be PERFECT.
