I really don't think that you owe him anything. He's the EX for a reason. Concentrate on having a beautiful wedding and enjoying with your husband, friends and family. Let him find out from other people. He probably let you down so you can let him down too. Be strong!!!

I have an awful ex that won't leave me, my friends, or my family alone! He even wrote to my cousin! I have NO idea how he got the address. Anyway, we have been separated for way over a year and I got engaged earlier this year. We figured out that we are going to be married next year, so I wrote an e-mail to my ex and told him this. I have NOT heard from him since!! Wow! What a relief! This has seemed to get him to stop calling and writing to my friends and family. So, if you want to get rid of your ex for good, I would do it. If you want to stay friends with him, then you should be the one to do it, but be gentle. Only you know how he will react. Just be careful.

If you really have moved on then there is no point in telling him. You guys did not make a friendship out of the broken relationship. So why do you really want to tell him, why would you NOW speak or see him just to tell him you are getting married?
It did not work out for a reason, just continue to move on and let him be. No courtesy required.

No. You have a new person in your life. It is not necessary to be contacting your ex. If you feel you have to keep in touch with the ex you may not feel confident about your current relationship. I always tell people to put the shoe on the other foot. Do you feel he should be contacting his ex girlfriends? If he finds out he may feel that you have not let go of the past.

If you do not want to hear him whine, send him a letter, and explain to him that you have found a wonderful man, and that are engaged to be married. and add anything else you feel is needed .
HAVE A GOOD MARRIED LIFE.

I wouldn't..If there is nothing left between you and you are no longer close as friends NO. If you still have a friendship with him and can talk to him then yeah! I would not want to find out through a mutual friend.

Just tell him in a responsible tone, it would be nice to think that people could be in a world where they could be open and honest with each other and BE FRIENDS after being "lovers that didn't work out".... you never know maybe you just letting him know will help him out...in a strange way

If you are truely happy with the one you've chosen to marry, why do you feel the need to tell your exboyfriend, if you hardly see or speak to him? Sounds like maybe you are not over him or you want to wave it in his face. Either way, not good.
