Why wouldn't people in that field go to heaven? I think it would depend on each individual's relationship with God, not necessarily the work you are doing, especially if it is cosmetology and skin care. If you were going into a career that kills people then I would be a bit worried.

Why don't you just pray and ask God what he would feel about you going into that field? You will get a better answer than anywhere else.

Whoever told you that God does not approve It Is wrong and not standing on the word of God.

You are suppose to worship the Lord God with all your heart mind soul and you are not suppose to lean on your own understanding(this Is what the Bible says)please listen to the word and not people.

Its where your heart Is,and not where you work, hey I was a truck driver and that Is a very vulgar work envirement I was In the Lord and many people got saved from It ,Be In Christ no matter where you are and BE a blessing,In Jesus name I pray for you right now amen

sounds nonsense to me that someone who helps others look after their skin and help them to apply make up would not get to heaven
make up is only a surface issue .. people feel better with it .. some people dont worry about that
i think if anything is bad in gods eyes it would be the vanity of the person who needs it ... not the person applying it
although i am not a christian and cant answer your question fully xx

Boy, is Tammy Faye in for a rude surprise!!

Seriously. I don't think that wearing makeup will keep you out of heaven. Neither will working as a cosmetologist. God see into our hearts and understands and forgives us our petty vanities. As long as I remain his true and faithful servant, I think he'll let me slide on a little mascara and lipstick.

I think as long as your honest in all your dealings, that profession can be just fine. Just keep a square head on your shoulders, and remember the difference between feeling beautiful and vanity.

best wishes

I heard that too. It's because a lot of skin-care techniques are derived from witchcraft practices and can lead into occult influences such as aromatherapy or talking with the dead.

I am not sure but I have heard that vanity is a sin and I guess cosmetology might fall under that category.

Nonsense!! God has much more to do than get upset with cosmetologists. In fact, I bet He'd be proud of you!! Go for it!!

If you are a guy and they said it my guess is that they were Christian and it was because they would think it effeminate of you....Screw them.
If your a girl, I don't even know what they were going on about.
Do what you want to do

I see no reason why you can't do what you want to do. The person who told you that is probably just jealous of you.
