Keep an open mind. The guy I'm with, I was about to set up with my sister, then one day I realized, I didn't just like him as a friend I loved him. He's the greatest man I've ever had and we're getting married.

Honey, it is a DATE...you are not getting married, for God's sake! Go on out on the date. You might "network" and meet some new people! What's one date? I've dated alot of "frogs" but you have to kiss alot of them to find a prince, and I finally did find one! You don't have to hurt him, just have a good time this one time and don't accept again if you still feel the same afterward. Godloveya!

Go on a second date and see how that goes; might be better. If you're sure there's no chemistry, don't string him along, that's never okay. Just tell him you don't want to ruin your friendship because you value that. It isn't going to be FUN, but the sooner you tell him the truth(nicely) the better.goodluck:)

Go out with him because you said yes and because you have personal integrity, but tell him you met someone new and would like to decline any further dates with him.

Try going out on the date with him and see how it goes. There has to be time to get to know one another.
